Started in education with the Washington Elementary School District as an Extended Day Specialist at the district level with managing Extended Day Coordinators and budgets for the after-school programs at 32 schools within the district for seven years.  Relocated to Pinetop, Arizona to manage the family motel business for 17 years and as I had the opportunity to raise my seven children for 12 years, also while obtaining my Bachelor’s in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2013 and my Master’s in Public Health from Grand Canyon University in 2015. Worked for Navajo County Public Health Department in Show Low, AZ and worked with schools, families and communities to educate healthy habits, prevention and building relationships among community members to provide public health education for over six years.  Relocated back to Phoenix to continue my public health journey with Maricopa County Public Health as the School Health Specialist until redirecting my path to become an Elementary School Teacher at a Title I charter school in Maryvale for three years.  Received my SEI Endorsement certification and AZELLA training.  I focus on the well-being of students to blossom their minds and souls to love learning.  I encourage academic success to sustain throughout our students lives.  My purpose and drive on this earth is to make sure my students get there!
