Mindfulness
Time: 2 hours and ongoing practice if requested.
Mindfulness is utilized to assist staff and students. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Using mindfulness programs in schools has clearly declined disruptive student behavior. This workshop will teach some of the techniques of Mindfulness that can be coupled with Mindfulness coupled with activities to utilize with students.
